Olympic Events for February 2010
A wide variety of fun events will be planned to welcome the torch relay and the 2010 Winter Olympics to Vancouver. The Olympic torch arrives in Whistler on Friday, Feb 5.

Friday, Feb 12 @ 3 p.m.
Join us in a lively public festival at the Vancouver Art Gallery and a parade to BC Place Stadium on February 12, 2010, beginning at 3:00 PM.
The Convergence is called for Feb 10-15, 2010:
Wed Feb 10 - Thurs Feb 11: Olympic Resistance Summit from noon until 10 pm.
Workshops and speakers discussing Impact of the Olympics on Indigenous Communities and Land Defence, Corporatization of the Games, Legal Rights, Housing and Poverty Impacts, Creative Resistance, and Struggle beyond

Fri Feb 12 - 2010 SQUELCHER PARADE
1 - 4 pm
Vanier Park, 1100 Chestnut St
Join us to welcome the Olympic Torch to Vancouver with a giant symbolic fire extinguisher. This will be a fun, non confrontational event with bands, jugglers, mobile DJ's and more. Agent provocateur will be asked to leave.The purpose of the event is to have fun and demonstrate to the world how many of us are opposed to the 2010 Olympics.
Sat Feb 13. 2010 Heart Attack: Street March to Clog the Arteries of Capitalism.
Arrive at 8:30 am in Thornton Park (Main and Terminal). This demonstration will respect diversity of tactics and aims to disturb "business as unusual" on the first day of the Games!
Sun Feb 14 -19th Annual Women's Memorial March
To honour all the missing and murdered and women in the DTES (this is not an anti-Olympic protest).
